CV room
Cardiovascular Operating Room, Texas A&M. Preparing the room for a surgery is an exacting job. Every surface is cleaned and the room is stocked for any contingency. The monitors serve multiple functions and can allow surgeons and staff to view critical parameters including closeup video, echocardiography, and physiological monitoring.
Kate and Lori
Lori Makarski (now in veterinary school) sets up her table under the tutelage of Kate Nelson, RN, CP. Kate is the glue that keeps the OR together. With many years of cardiovascular nursing and cardiovascular perfusion experience Kate is the "go to" person on the team. She also runs the Heart Lung machine during bypass.
